You don't need me to review Bulletstorm again. Saying that, looking at old screenshots it's hard to tell the difference, but this more stands as testament to how damned good it looked back then. Although close-ups of faces reveal the passage of time, and some textures are pretty cruddy, the vistas remain breathtaking. Six year old pretty tends to look pretty crummy in the present, and this certainly doesn't. I remember that it looked extremely pretty back then, and it looks extremely pretty now (outside of cutscenes, that look bizarrely awful), so that likely means it's been much upgraded. The original version is gone from the inter-shops (owned by EA, it's not even on Origin), so I can't really compare. It has been, they say, visually upgraded, 4K resolutions added, and I'll assume that's true. Oh, and the PC version was gruesomely strangled by GFWL at the time, which certainly didn't help matters. But modest sales were not enough to convince the bossmen it was worth persisting with a sequel. People Can Fly managed to be boorish without being vile. Competent, well written (comic guru Rick Remender wrote the dumb-but-smart script), and incessantly bombastic, it completely delivered. It was a big budget FPS that tossed aside all the bullshit bathos that polluted the genre then and now, focusing on gore, explosions and naughty swears. That'll be full price, please!īulletstorm rather inexplicably didn't sell well. It's Bulletstorm from six years ago, that entertaining FPS, but this time with an optional additional mode that is loads worse. IF you already have GFWL installed it will install over your working version or hang as mentioned before. What a peculiar thing is Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition. The GFWL with this game is out of date so affects everyone, but can update itself sometimes IF you havent got GFWL installed. I then deleted the LIVE install folder from the game and the VC redistribution install files both from the install folder in the Bulletstorm install folder found in steamapps/common. It hanged for me on install even tho i had GFWL installed. Thats not in most cases, most cases are it hangs with GFWL installed or not. I already posted the link for the new GFWL in reply to his thread Most people tho would recommend the link above as the Multiplayer ain't that active, although there are a few of us around willing to play. Usually if you want the Multiplayer the fix for this is to Install a newer version of GFWL, this can be found on xbox live, just type into the search engine 'Xbox Live GFWL download' for best results uninstall the old version that came with the game before installing the new one. Pretty disappointing that I can only play in single player after following the fix you linked. Originally posted by Ghost Dog:Yes, I'm having the same issue. because it uninstalls your working GFWL and installs the outdated one Or doesnt do anything at all and just hangs on installing VC redistributable. I sometimes wish they turned the thing off for good, then EA might have had an incentive to transfer to something else. I've seen the various problems this game has and 80 - 90% usally comes down to a GFWL being the reason. Indyxt had the old version of GFWL which is why he was not affected, the ingame update is proof of this. Even an old account will smooth out most problems. It can do this yes, but from what I have heard so far is that is affects windows 10 users on any newly installed game, on rare occasions it also keeps on trying to install everytime you boot up the game.Įvery user has a different experience, users that have GFWL previously on their computer tend to have less problems getting GFWL to work than a brand new user. Sounds like your a former user of GFWL, they don't tend to have problem unlike new users its the other way around most of the time if you already have GFWL installed.
